Get Noticed and Share Resources

Are you a faculty or staff member and want to be listed on this site?  Want to advertise your research facility or new research project?  Found a great online source of geospatial data and want others to be aware?  If the answers to any of these questions are yes, then submit your information by clicking on the relevant links to the left under "Community of Practice".

Stay Informed:  GIS News and Events

K-State operates two listservs, ksu-esri@listserv.ksu.edu and esri-users@listserv.ksu.edu, to help K-State faculty, staff, and students keep abreast of GIS news, events, and Esri site license information.  Contact Dr. Shawn Hutchinson (3018 Seaton Hall) to join, or be removed from, these listservs.

  • ksu-esri@listserv.ksu.edu - used exclusively for Esri site license discussions such as obtaining software, updating licenses, and using other Esri resources available through the education site license arrangement such as Esri Press and on-site training discounts and User Conference registrations.
  • esri-users@listserv.ksu.edu - used to promote the use of Esri software for GIS teaching, research, and outreach efforts, to provide technical updates to registered users, and to announce training opportunities and online resources to group members.

GIScience scholars are also encouraged to follow Twitter feeds for several K-State organizations which routinely broadcast information about GIS/GIScience courses, events, and opportunities.
